Garrett John Law
Director of Music
Garrett previously served as Assistant Director of Charlotte Choir School and Assistant Director of Music at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte, NC. In 2019, he accompanied the Choir School’s Choral Residency at Durham Cathedral in Durham, UK. Garrett also served as Director of Music at St. James Anglican Catholic Church in Cleveland, OH, and as Assistant Organist-Choirmaster at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Akron, OH.
Garrett holds BM and MM degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music, a graduate diploma in Historical Performance Practice from Case Western Reserve University, and is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy.
In addition to his music career, Garrett is also a software Engineer at Re:Build Manufacturing in Downtown LA. His cat Claudia is named after the late Renaissance composer, Claudio Monteverdi.
Garrett John Law is a Los Angeles-based organist, conductor, and composer. His compositions include choral and organ works, a song cycle, and numerous hymn descants. He has been commissioned to compose a solo organ work by the Charlotte Chapter of the American Guild of Organists in honor of the chapter’s 75th anniversary.
